Event Description
Industry guests: Team Storm (Robot Wars world champions with Storm 2)
This one day event will focus on robotics and engineering as 21st century skills.
- How robotics might change the future world of work?
- What skills should we be encouraging young people to develop?
- How can industry and education collaborate effectively?
The day will be run in collaboration with Robot Wars world champions Team Storm.
Participating educators will have the chance to get hands on with a variety of robots, programming devices including:
- Lego EV3
- Spheros
- Parrot Drones
and to turn their hand to building some basic robots, exploring how young people can engage with robotics and engineering in a variety of settings.
Keynote Speaker - Ed Hoppitt
Ed Hoppitt is the Europe, Middle East and Africa director for modern apps and cloud native platforms at VMWare.
He is also a Robot Wars world champion with Team Storm.
About Team Storm
Team Storm are former Robot Wars world champions with their robot Storm 2.
They now work frequently with schools and young people to support the next generation of robot enthusiasts.
