The Covid-19 pandemic has seen many educational activities shift online – and the creative arts are no exception.
Practitioners have found numerous innovative ways to bring creative learning into the digital sphere, but for young people with complex needs, and those for whom sensory interaction is a key component of creative engagement, this shift to digital has been especially difficult.
In this course, expert facilitators from the charity Christmas for Kids show how sensory engagement can be incorporated into digital delivery. Looking at both live and pre-recorded delivery, they explore how to make creative resources that are accessible to the widest possible audience.
By the end of the course you will:
- Have a greater understanding of what sensory theatre is and how it can be achieved remotely.
- Have ideas for creative games and activities that you can facilitate over Zoom.
- Understand how to record and edit music effectively from home.
- Understand how to use green screen over Zoom.
