Future X Skills: future-proofing yourself

Future X Skills: future-proofing yourself

Future X Skills was an event run at the Barbican in October 2019 by the Mayor of London’s office. It was designed to give young people the opportunity to find out more about the wealth of training and career opportunities in tech, and how to get ahead of the crowd.

This video is a recording of a panel discussion chaired by TechPathways London project manager Caitlin McMillan. The focus was on ‘future-proofing’ and how young people can best prepare themselves now for the jobs of tomorrow.

On the panel were:

  • Ambrose Quashie: Skills Manager, HS2 Ltd
  • Jonathan Brown: Personalisation Consultant, Vodafone Group (read our interview with Jonathan here)
  • Maria Purcell: Head of Commercial Partnerships, Facebook
